Creative Writing WorkshopsUpcoming Projects

Depending on interest and funding, CEIRD will propose a wide range of workshops, shows and school presentations, mostly in community singing but possibly in other arts also. Here are some examples of what CEIRD will propose:

What: Lullabies of the world (English language lullabies from Ireland, the UK, America, Australia…).
Open to: Pregnant women/parents and their young children.
Level: Introduction to advanced.
Where: County Galway.
Course available through English only.

What: Donegal Sean-Nós singing.
Open to: Teenagers and adults over 13 y.o.
Level: Introduction to advanced.
Where: Nationwide.
Course available through English or Irish.

What: Donegal Sean-Nós singing.
Open to: Teenagers and adults over 13 y.o.
Level: Advanced/Intensive.
Where: Nationwide.
Course available through Irish only.

What: Introduction to Medieval Singing.
Open to: Adults (over 18 y.o).
Level: Introduction.
Where: Nationwide.
Course available through English or Irish.

Medieval Music WorkshopWhat: Introduction to Gregorian Chant.
Type: School presentation.
Open to: Students preparing for Junior Cert in History, Latin, Music or Religious Studies.
Level: Third Year.
Duration: 1 and a half hour presentation.
Where: Limerick, Clare, Galway, Mayo.
Available through English only.

What: Singing Medieval Music in the 21rst. Century.
Type: School presentation.
Open to: Students preparing for Music Junior Cert.
Level: Third Year.
Duration: 1 and a half hour presentation.
Where: Limerick, Clare, Galway, Mayo.
